2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 5,800 times in 2011. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.

My very first post!

So this is my first blog post in English.

I’ve been blogging in Japanese for a while and I’ve figured that I need to create one in English.
Why? Because a lot of people start talking about blogging and Web2.0 and all that stuff as a marketing tool.

An increasing number of public institutions, NGOs and of course private companies are trying to utilize Web2.0 (blogging, twitter, Youtube etc) for their promotion.

What that means is that first of all, such web media is increasingly getting more potential to influence a large number of people. And second of all, being competent to utilize these media could increase your competitiveness in job market.

I’m hoping to write such posts that could influence people positively.
So, here I am. I’m excited to start my own website from El Salvador!

Stay tuned!
